[Android only] Breathe, Focus, or Guided audio mindfulness practice session not playing or recording properly

Android devices are generally well known for their battery optimization capabilities, especially when your device screen is turned off. This means that any app running in the background for a long may be closed/stopped by the Android system unexpectedly.

As such, when a Breathe, Focus, or Guided Audio session is ongoing and the screen is turned off, it may prevent the session from playing properly. For example, the session stops playing once the screen is turned off or the session minutes are not recorded accurately after the session is completed.

In order to avoid such occurrences, we strongly recommend you to turn off battery optimization for the MindFi App. Please rest assured that the MindFi App will not significantly drain your battery.

Select your device manufacturer below for detailed steps to turn off battery optimization:

The general steps would be:

  1. Go to your device’s settings

  2. Go to “Apps”

  3. Find MindFi and tap on it

  4. Tap on “Battery”

  5. Turn off battery optimization or select unrestricted for battery usage
