Staying focused is a real challenge for our screen-bound generation. Our Focus Timer helps you manage time better and get tasks done by keeping you away from your phone distractions, such as notifications. Inspired by the popular Pomodoro productivity technique, this is an effective way to retain motivation and focus.
How it works
Access the Focus Timer from the top of the Explore tab
βDecide and type in one task to focus on. Avoid multitasking
Decide on a time period (5 minutes to 2 hours). We recommend 25 minutes as per the Pomodoro technique but you can do it as long or short as you want
βIf you leave the MindFi app, we will send you a friendly notification to nudge you back. Turn on your notifications to receive it!
If you opt for the hardcore mode, leaving our app for more than the Grace Period will stop the timer, and your Focus minutes will not be counted
βFollow a guided audio mindfulness practice as a short break at the end of your Focus session to rejuvenate your mind
For Android users
If you are using an Android device, we strongly recommend that you toggle battery optimization off for the Focus session to run properly when your screen is turned off and for your Focus minutes to be recorded accurately once the session is completed.
