This is taken from the Health Talks Policy for Providers. In case of any discrepancies, the full policy will take precedence.
As a MindFi Provider, you may be seen by corporate clients as a trusted voice on mental health and wellbeing. When delivering health talks, it’s natural for participants to be curious about your expertise or seek support. Here's how to professionally promote yourself in an EAP setting, with integrity and care.
🚨 Important note:
Please note that not all corporate clients are subscribed to MindFi EAP. If you're unsure, check with the client or with us to avoid any confusion.
✅ DOs – Promote with Purpose
Let your content speak for you
Focus on delivering high-quality, practical content that demonstrates your expertise
Use relevant case examples (anonymised), frameworks, or lived experience where appropriate
Mention your background briefly
You can introduce yourself at the start (e.g., “I’m a clinical psychologist who works with adult clients in areas like stress, burnout and grief”).
Keep it relevant to the topic to build credibility, not to pitch.
Invite participants to use the EAP
Encourage participants to reach out through the appropriate EAP channels if they’d like to explore the topic further.
Example: “If today’s session brought up anything personal, do consider speaking with a professional via your EAP.”
Link back to help-seeking behaviours
Share general guidance on when to seek help and how early intervention makes a difference.
Reinforce that support is available through their workplace.
Use your last slide wisely
You can include a small line in your closing slide like:
“Delivered by [Name], EAP Provider (MindFi)” or
“To access EAP support, you may make a booking via the MindFi app.”
Include a QR code to your MindFi profile so participants can easily view it and book a session with you. Here’s a template that you can refer to: Masterclass Template - Brief MindFi Guide
❌ DON’Ts – Avoid the Hard-Sell Trap
Don’t advertise your private practice or services directly
Avoid mentioning your personal clinic, fees, or availability outside of the EAP.
This creates confusion or a conflict of interest.
Don’t solicit clients
Refrain from inviting participants to contact you personally or booking you outside of the EAP framework.
Don’t over-personalise or dominate the space
While personal stories are powerful, make sure they are in service of the learning goals, not self-promotion.
Don’t make guarantees or give individual advice
Stick to psychoeducation. If someone asks for personal help, gently redirect them to the EAP support system.
🤝 Cultivate Credibility Through Care and Integrity
You are part of a trusted network delivering mental health education and support. By keeping your focus on value and care, you promote not only yourself, but the integrity of the EAP as a whole.
