To ensure a smooth and secure experience for both members and Providers, it’s important to use the MindFi platform as intended.
Improper use may lead to technical issues, interrupted sessions, or ineligibility for refunds for members or compensation for Providers.
Below are examples of what we consider improper use of the platform:
Using unsupported devices
We do not recommend sessions to be done on devices other than a desktop or laptop. This is to ensure video and audio stability during your sessions.
If you are using your phone or tablet and encounter issues with video and audio, you may not be eligible to be refunded (for members) or compensated (for Providers) for the session.
Using unsupported browsers
We do not recommend sessions to be done on browsers other than Google Chrome, Safari, or Microsoft Edge.
Please make sure your browser is up to date before joining sessions..
Disabling camera or microphone permissions
Not allowing the app or browser to access your camera or microphone, which is necessary for sessions done over video calls.
Poor internet connectivity
Joining a session while on unstable or low-bandwidth internet, which may cause disruptions.
Switching between networks (e.g. from Wi-Fi to mobile data) during a session.
Running unnecessary background applications
Using resource-heavy apps (e.g. streaming, file-sharing) during your session, which may affect video or audio quality.
VPN or firewall restrictions
Using a VPN or being on a network with strict firewall settings (e.g. office networks or networks in China) may block access to the video call.
If you experience issues, try switching networks, disabling your VPN, or using a personal hotspot.
Why this matters
Using the platform properly helps ensure a smooth session experience and protects your right to support. Sessions affected by improper use may not be eligible for a refund for members or compensation for Providers.
