If you’re planning to switch devices or reset your authenticator app, we recommend removing your current Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) setup before you lose access. This helps prevent situations where you’re unable to generate verification codes and get locked out of your account.
To change your authenticator app
You’ll first need to remove your existing authenticator setup:
Click Remove under authenticator app
Verify your identity by logging in to your account
Confirm the removal
Once your current setup has been removed, you can set up your authenticator app again by following the steps in this article:
Setting up MFA – Authenticator app
If you’ve already lost access to your authenticator app
If you no longer have access to your authenticator app and can’t log in, use one of your recovery codes to regain access to your account
If you don’t have your recovery codes, refer to: Recovering access if you can’t use multi-factor authentication (MFA)
Once you’ve regained access to your account, please set up your authenticator app again as soon as possible to avoid getting locked out in the future.
