Depending on whether you will be unavailable for the short term, on an ad-hoc basis or for the long term, there are a couple of methods to set your unavailability.
π‘ Tip:
We do not recommend
Disconnecting your Google or Outlook calendar OR
Turning off all available days on the platform
While this may seem convenient, this prevents members from booking with you, even if they want to book sessions for dates after your break. This could mean missing out on potential future bookings.
It's better to create blocks in your calendar instead. See how below.
Unavailable for the short term or ad-hoc basis
If you're unavailable for a short term, such as during a vacation or conference, you can block out entire days on your calendar.
For ad-hoc unavailability, like specific time ranges in a day, simply block out those times. See how below.
π¨ Important note:
If your Google account or Outlook Calendar has multiple calendars, ensure you toggle on conflict checking for the calendar where the block is created. Otherwise, members will still see you as available.
Unavailable for the long term
Instead of blocking your calendar, you can choose to update your schedule on the Provider Portal. By doing so, the system will not read or show available slots for the days of the week and time of the day that you have toggled off.
When you are available again, you will need to remember to toggle on the days.
A restriction of this method is that you will not be able to set multiple time ranges in a day that you are unavailable. In this case, it is recommended to block your calendar by setting up a recurring event instead.
