Step 3: Connecting Your Calendar

Allow the system to read your availability, and add bookings to your calendar

Updated over 2 months ago

For your profile to be active, you must connect the Provider Portal with either your Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar. By doing so, this will allow the system to know when you're available, and events will be created automatically on your calendar when you receive bookings.

Follow these steps to connect your calendar:

  1. On the Dashboard, in the box showing your profile status, click on Connect your Calendar

  2. Click on either Sign in with Google or Connect Outlook

    β€‹πŸ“ Note:
You can only connect to one calendar at a time.

  3. Sign in to the Google account or Outlook account that you are using or want to use to record bookings.

Don't have a Google account or Outlook account? Refer to these articles on how to create one:
    Create a Google account
    Create an Outlook account

    β€‹πŸ“ Note:
You must allow all permissions to your calendar. Rest assured that the system will not be able to read the details of the events on your calendar. The system will only be able to tell that certain times are blocked, and hence those time slots will not be shown to members for booking.

  4. Once you have connected to your Google or Outlook account, on the Provider Portal, select the calendar that you want bookings to be added to

  5. Toggle on any additional calendars that the system should check for conflicts. For example, if you have 2 calendars where you actively record events on, you should toggle on both of them

🚨 Important note:

This is an important step to prevent cases where a member is able to book a slot that you have already blocked on your calendar.

For example, if you have blocked 10am - 11am on calendar A, but you did not toggle it on to check for conflicts, members will still be able to see the 10am slot on the app.
