Changing Providers

Understand how your care is transitioned seamlessly to a new Provider

Updated over 2 months ago

At MindFi, we understand how important it is to feel safe and supported with your Provider. While we aim for continuity in your care journey, there may be times when your Provider changes — whether you choose someone new, or a change is recommended to support your needs. When this happens, we’re here to make the transition as smooth as possible.

When might a change happen?

A change in Provider may occur when:

  • You decide to book with a different Provider.

  • Your Provider recommends a transition, for example due to a clinical mismatch or to better support your goals.

  • Your Provider becomes unavailable due to leave or other changes.

  • MindFi recommends a change due to availability, care planning, or other service-related reasons.

What happens during a change?

  1. Your Choice is Respected
You can switch to a new Provider anytime through the platform. If you'd like help choosing someone suitable, the Care Concierge team can guide you.

  2. You’ll Be Informed Thoughtfully
If the change is initiated by your Provider or MindFi, you’ll be informed by us and/or your Provider.

  3. Supportive Handover
With your consent, a summary of your case notes may be shared with the new Provider. This helps ensure continuity in your support.

  4. Transition Support with Current Provider
If the change is planned (not urgent), we may offer up to two final sessions with your current Provider to support emotional closure and prepare you for the transition.
